Without trees we couldn’t see the wind.
I am in love with the remnants of native forest here in The Southwest of western Australia,
especially the eucalypts. The bark is always changing in the light. To the untrained eye they
can appear dull and messy, unlike European trees but their subtlety always stirs me. I try
and capture some of their beauty in dry vases and sculpture.

This series was the first time I combine textiles with ceramics. The work was created in 2019
